Magic Leap, a very large start-up, was working on its initial release. The scope of the work was far reaching and complex. This first release included creating and building new state of the art hardware on a new operating system, using new interaction paradigms, while using a new development platform for entirely new experiences. All of this culminated in a consumer product that allowed developers to create content for the platform

During this time I was a Principal Interaction Designer. I worked through several designs and implementations for many areas of the platform. Some of my core applications included the Gallery, Capture, Phone, File Picker, Security and more. I also led a small set of designers to complete the work on the UIToolkit that had shared components to be used throughout our platform and for developers. I also worked closely on the designs for a set of apps that would allow media, entertainment and web browsing on the platform.
Gallery and Media
Gallery was created to be an application to allow users to bring their current digital content into the world of spatial computing. Gallery focused on being a central spot for your digital media content on device. Since many users would not have a lot of 3d content initially, Gallery would allow stills and video to be accessed and utilized by the users from their mobile devices. The tool focused on having a simple yet efficient way to have visual media be available in the their mixed reality environment.
UI Toolkit
The UI Toolkit was created to centralize the design and feel of common components on the platform. This would allow for a better user experience and save engineering time too.
I lead a team of designers finishing the designs of the various components for delivery to engineering. We then worked closely with the software teams on implementation and use of the correct components through the platform.
