The challenge was to move the entire care team off of an outdated set of software tools to a new modern CareSuite. The new CareSuite was an EHR (Electronic Health Records system) that was created for Value Based Care instead of the normal fee for service healthcare model. The tool set was created as a SaaS application starting with two main customers with the goal to scale to many in the near future.

Our stated goal was to consolidate and simplify the features needed for the Care Team. We were to bring over only the essential features needed into a single toolset, instead of the myriad array of software tools and platforms in use currently.
Some applications were already built without coordination with other apps, causing user confusion. We audited the current applications and created a new design system. The new system intended to bring consistency and point towards where the overall look and feel was evolving. We worked directly with developers to document and ensure the design components were also built to be re-usable across the different teams for a unified experience.
The CareSuite toolset had persona based workflows for doctors, medical assistants, the front desk and scheduling teams. All integrated onto one platform. The applications were designed to work on a small 13” laptop for the doctors, a large monitor at the front desk, and as a tablet based workflow for the medical assistants.
The remote team evolved to use new collaborative tools and broke free of the silos they were working on in the past. We proposed and pushed for more user tracking tools embedded in the application to bring more data based decisions to our roadmap.
